Unlike a regular tattoo, microblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine,
Hair-like strokes are drawn with the tool to mimic natural hairs in your brows. Even though it's not as deep as the regular tattoo, it's still a tattoo because pigment is implanted under the skin.
What to expect:
Firstly, you will need a consultation with Whitney our microblading therapist at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.
During the consultation, Whitney will discuss your requirements, fill in a consultation card to check that you are suitable for the procedure and perform a patch test to check that you are not allergic to the products used.
Assuming everything is ok at the consultation a 2 hour appointment will be arranged for your procedure.
At your appointment, the area around the eyebrows will be cleaned, your eyebrows will be measured and drawn on to ensure you are happy with the shape. A numbing cream will then be applied and left on for a little while to take effect, then the microblading procedure takes place.
It doesn't hurt (too much) Some feel more than others. Overall it feels like little scratches. You feel it, but it's not unbearable.
Overall they look great right away and you don't have to hide, Slight redness and mild swelling is normal.
